“Indigo 367. please knowledge.” The radio crackles.
“Jim. They say there’s no-one on board. How does a plane land itself?” Martin taps on the display. A hundred planes move like bugs on the screen.
“Just say it, Jim. The plane took off three years ago.” Martin nervously awaits instructions from the FFA. “It was terrorism, then computer failure… I mean we have no idea what’s still inside.”
“Mommy? Why are we way over here? I thought we go right up to the buildings?” Maggie looks excitedly out the little window at the men slowly surrounding the plane.
“They probably don’t have room for us.” Mommy lies through her teeth. She knows the flight was overdue. No-one told them why it seemed so long. “We be out of here soon, little girl.”
A nervous plane awaits a nervous world. Neither knows what to expect.
