FFAW – Twist of Fate
“Sean, you’re heading for trouble. I can help.” Beau nervously dances at his feet.
“Who are…what the hell?!” Sean looks at his feet and sees a grasshopper with corsage.
“Do not get in the car! Bad travel time.” Beau keeps his blue eyes locked on his target.
“You are a grasshopper. What do you know about cars and driving?” Sean shakes the keys in his hand “Is it crazier to listen to cricket or worry about it.”
“I’m a grasshopper. Fate is yours. Advice is mine.” Beau dances side to side.
“I’m not listening to a bug!” Sean spits toward his talkative bug. “I’m out of here!”
Sean stomps near Beau. Beau jumps away.
Sean jumps in his sports car. He drives along his apartment building out the alleyway. The garbage truck doesn’t see him.
Beau hops up on the brick wall after he hears a crash. “They never listen!”

Blank Face
Reaching you like
Wrestling smoke rings
Hollow made emptiness
Or is it the other way?
Welcoming yesterday again
A mind trick of better times
Distance removes the barbs
Fantasy, the game of rememberence
No winter night rivals you
No stagehand can out perform you
If there’s every someone there
Deep inside the costume of yours
Do they realize they’re trapped?
Prisoner of self-doubt
Fighter to make-up for losses
Wraith haunting sacred ground
Gentle breezes remove smoke rings
They dissipate into thin air
Only then did we see what there
Truly nothing at all

My warren of logic collapses. An uncanny tendency that catches me in a tough spot stranded. The deal of syncretism was to reform the need to use my vertebra.
I look away to avoid my oscitant face giving up worry.
Attention
Your need for attention
like the leaves to the wind
Addiction of being front and center
Loneliness drowned in the crowd
Cheers from the alcoholic
Not that you would recognize him
His drink is your “hello”
Does either have a reason to forget
One that is not self-inflicted
Quietly you both fade into the night
However, just you look back
Cranberry Sauce
An easy Turkey staple in four pimeces! We start with a bag of whole cranberries. They are thrown in a colander and sprayed. In saucepan, I mix a cup of OJ, 3/4 cup of brown sugar, a tablespoon of honey, and the cranberries. Bring the put to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes stirring frequently. When almost every berry pops open move put to place to chill. Once they can be put in bowl refrigerate for 1 hour or freezer for 1/2 hour. This is about six average servings of about 1/2 cup.
For those calorie counters, adding up the ingredients there’s about 115 calories per serving

FFAW- Writing in the Blanks

This week’s photo prompt is provided by Footy and Foodie. Thank you for our prompt!
“Last rays of light are like the end of a dream.” Trudy softly speaks as she swirls the red wine in her glass.
The Sun slides into the lake with a broad orange stripe left behind.
She taps her pen against the paper pad.
“Ok, End of a dream.” Trudy downs the wine in one swift move. “Is this a good dream or bad one? Maybe a little more wine will help.”
The sky pulls down its purple night shade. A few stars twinkle into view. A cool whisper of the wind rustled the reeds in front of her.
“End of the bottle is like a bas dream.” Trudy looks into the bottle hoping for more. “Oh wait, I can use that.”
