This is how we started. We are surrounded by corporations today control your first cup of coffee to your pillow you put your heads down upon at night. They provide necessary things… They take away necessary things as well. The question is how much power do they have and how sure are you about that.
Power of the Purse is simple idea. Dark money (untraceable donations) controls the political landscape. It affects both sides of the aisle. It had produced a network of twisted loops on who gave what. We needed a clear transparent access to political donations. We control what we spend where and when. Messages in financial strength tend to get noticed. Please consider this.
If you can agree with these few simple problems for the average citizen, help us share the message that we may inspire change.

Transparency is essential to knowing who is supporting what messages; therefore, all corporate donors identified and special interests requied to disclose whether their funds are originated.
Their influences of the political world will create budget short falls that in most recent budget. These calls for $1.5 trillion cuts to SSI benefits, $1.5 trillion to Medicare benefits, the defunding of veteran programs implemented in spring 2018, the calling for selling off US government assets including the Veterans Administration & US Postal Service to private entities. It enters your benefits you either paid into or gave up you’re life to serve. Its about profits versus fair share. You vs them. Which side are you on?

March for Our Lives – A rant
The tiny town of Payson, AZ where guns outnumber people, there still is movement about gun law reform. Here we have open carry, meaning I am free to walk into Wal-Mart carrying my pistol on my side id walk about the wilderness much the same. There are a few places like government buildings that are ‘no carry’ zones. But the sense that guns have a responsibility with their use seems to be understood.
Then the crazy thought comes along. Which guns are safe in the general publics hands. I’m no hunter, however, If you need a 30 round magazine and a high powered rifle that can remove while chunks of the animals hide coming out on other side of it…. Well, that doesn’t seem like hunting.
I digress. If you need a license to drive a car, maybe you need something to own a killing machine too. I’ll argue a handgun, rifle, or shotgun is a totally different armament than an assualt rifle. Part of the problem is the Congress & the NRA.
Currently, the agency changed with finding out of a gun is owned by someone is called ATF (Alcohol,Tabacco, & Firearms). The ATF investigates as crimes involving guns with multiple fatalities, covering multiple jurisdictions, or involving sales or stolen merchandise. They are prohibited from having a database on gun sales. They have to comb through paper records to chase a guns history of sales. The NRA has argued the government could remove all your guns if they know when you purchase them. So if we can’t trace any gun purchase by computer, does this explain the power of the NRA.
5 million NRA members control the gun safety of 330 million in US. They believe any gun reform is taking away from their 2nd amendment rights (which discusses the right to bear arms & establish militias). They also pay congressmen that support imposing laws that reduce 1st amendment rights when it comes to protesting. Interesting strategy involving freedom. They have dished out hundreds of millions in cash to ensure the gun markers can flood the market unrestricted. People aren’t the only contributors here. Gun markers like selling things too.
These high school kids have to clean up their Grandparents mess from out of date laws & a society that no longer values safety in schools or public.

GMO Corn Questions
A recent conversion about GMOs came through from a piece of fiction. Since food affects everyone and we don’t produce our own food any more. The last part meaning you may have a garden or fruit trees, but the ability to raise cow, chickens, and pork isn’t allowed in every community.
GMO is abbreviation for Genetic Modified Organism. Us humans have been playing with our food for thousands of years. For instance, in 1400’s corn had kernels on the top of the plant, not ears covered with them. Today, bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) corn actually has genetic coding from bacteria included in its own DNA. Thus modifying its genetics. While selective breeding has created thousands of varieties over decades, the process of genetic splicing produces much faster results.
Crop production is the added benefit through either faster production, resistance to pests, and/or resistance to herbicides. The ‘traditional’ of pest control methods included things like applying sprays of Bacillus thuringiensis (bt). The bacteria is light sensitive did sunlight would break down the applications of bacteria fairly quickly. Which means lots of reapplying. And high costs to purchase more and more product. But why use it, the bacteria has a chemical toxic to pests and only dissolves in alakine digestive systems. Hey, ours are highly acidic! Therefore extremely safe for humans, birds, cows and pigs.
Don’t mistake the Bacillus thuringiensis for the bt Corn. There are differences in what they are and why. The corn plant has the bt genes in its stalk, leaves, silks, ears, and roots. So Mr Bug eats at any part and ingests the toxin. Goodbye, Mr Bug. So far, so good. The bacteria has an outer shell between the toxin and the bug. The digestive juices eats away the shell. We don’t digest the shell, so we don’t ingest the toxin.
There have been several studies to investigate the level of scariness that bt Corn should cause. Obviously, producers of bt Corn have financed a few of these and they say there are no side effects to humans. Also tip of the environmental hat, it requires less pesticides! There are many environmental groups that paid for studies that show bt Corn as franken-corn, ready to storm the world corn village destroying it all.
The truth is probably closer to the middle. The bt Corn is usually resistant to herbicides like Glyphosphate (Commercially known as Round-up). Farmers tend to cultivate (weed) their fields by spraying Glyphosphate. The herbicide is water soluble and binds to proteins (animal and plant proteins). This is where things get cloudy. If consumed Glyphosphate can be found in stomach linings, esophagus, and intestines due to its ability to bind to proteins. It doesn’t flush out of the digestive system quickly because of the acidic environment. The catch is his much is in that ear of corn. Noone really knows.
Why, each variety has different water content and kernels vary between feed (dry) and sweet corn. Corn meal can be made from either, but feed corn is mostly for animals we eat. There are few studies that compare corn with number of applications of Glyphosphate and concentration of Glyphosphate in the harvested bt Corn. There are fewer that analyse the concentration of Glyphosphate within beef, poultry and pork that ate bt Corn. But the reason here is fed corn isn’t labeled GMO sourced, how does a research know without analysing all the feed. These animals eat well… like pigs. You couldn’t do anything but spot check. Mist peole aren’t crazy because of variance your numbers would be questionable. It still could be done with multiple studies, each either verifying or disproving the original study. Again few studies are done and released but most are subsidized by manufacturer of Glyphosphate.
In 2016, 90-95% of corn sold in US was classified as bt Corn. I sourced the websites and all had different numbers these represent the range of all three. Some websites state it is not appropriate to share their data (so they all anonymous). I have read a dozen articles and they are divergent at best in their findings. Personally, i make the decision to rely on chemistry and moderation with a heavy infusion of Farmers markets.
If it is toxic to a bacteria or plant, than in sufficient quantities it becomes toxic to my cells. If it is binding to my cells, than it can alter my cells in sufficient quantities. What the hell is that about? Cancer is irregular cell division and toxins tend to interfere with cell division. Not everyone will die of cancer because of Glyphosphate. But several courts have awarded damages from its use. Reducing exposure to Glyphosphate is healthier for you. If you don’t know your food source then consider organic. Organic is NO guarantee to be free if GMOs, it means less chemicals exposed to the plants that produce your food.

History – Twisted by Nature
First, a simple thought. History by Nature means is has already happened. Today and this hour has little impact on History. History is tainted by the people who retell the facts or believed truths. So when someone jumps up to define the problems of History, please understand it is not your place. When you have lived in someone else’s circumstances and know their time period well enough to respect the people who went through it, your eyes might see why things have changed.
Back in 1924, several small towns set up a collection. The idea started about 1890 when the Southern states started losing their Civil War veterans. Although Robert E Lee opposed any statues being raised to him or his Generals, the Southern public wanted to memorialize them. Much like the one in Charlottesville, Va. This was something paid for by the orginal “Go Fund Me” practice of socials by average almost middle class families. Keep in mind every family lost someone and saw more come back wounded. “Remember the boys who wore the grey”
The statue did not carry any Confederate States of America insignias. The soldiers who the statue memorialize, died and were probably left in empty fields. Both sides saw 620,000 soldiers lost their lives and another million were injured beyond the ability to return to the War and their regular lives. The Southern states had no Army or Navy on April 12, 1861. Their fields that supplied their industry and food were almost exclusively the battlefields of the Civil War.
The Monuments to the common “Johnny Reb” are not monuments of hate but remembrance. It is unfair to celebrate its destruction as a political statement. No government or party of hate created this chunk of bronze. While today “enlightened” protesters are correct in that slavery is wrong, maybe they should remember indentured servitude and corporate towns were normal perils of lower classes that impacted just as many people.
Facts are terrible ways to argue a point here. But the slaves in Maryland, Kentucky, Delaware and DC were not freed by President Lincoln. He didn’t free any slaves unless they were “recovered” in the States that rebelled and territory controlled by the US Army. Condemning the statue of a simple soldier fighting for their way of life (shocker here must Southerns didn’t own slaves). The Ninth Amendment gave powers that were not specifically designated to the Federal Government to the States themselves. In 1807, Massachusetts argued the Louisiana purchase would cause small states to lose its representation to these new larger territories. Secession was an old idea in 1861 but far from illegal. The primary factor in secession was economic. The South had tariffs placed on their raw materials ( mostly cotton, sorgham & hemp) by a predominately Northern Controlled Congress that wanted to sell finished goods to the world. Southern cotton seen to England made New England factories less money. These factories also were the ones with Company stores and their own currency. The Civil War was also due in part to Lincoln would never meet with any representatives of the CSA, because it would legitimize the country in European views.
So remind me of why we tear down a soldiers statue in the name of preserving our modern way of life. Violence by any group is still rooting at best and terrorism if done to stand any message.
But just my thoughts.
Decoration Day
Officially it’s Memorial Day in the US. But it was once Decoration Day. The origins of this run deep. The Union troops first celebrated the holiday on May 30, 1868. But their were ones before that.
April 26,1866 was the first offical celebration of the Civil War dead in the south. The gravesodd the Confederate troops were decorated with ribbons and buttons. It was a symbol of homespun touches. The south want left with much. Most of the people in the south eye fast from rich before the war.
There small marking on Anniversary of major battles were common for both Northern and Southern graves. This was a war that no one thought would ever come. It’s a war that started with only a Northern Army and Northern Navy. The South were farmers with little industry. Every able bodied man who wasn’t a plantain owner fought in the South.
The Northern Armies were full of troops that well to do people paid others to take their place. In the North, a grand horse race track called Saratoga opened in the height of the war. The Southern people raced to Richmond to riot for bread. The honor of the fighters for the South was not lost that all but Gettysburg was fought in their homes, their fields, over their crops.
Both sides died in a war to force the country back together. From the beginning when families watch on the side lines outside Alexandria. To the surrender at Appomattox Courthouse. These men lead to a celebration to honor all those lost in battle under Stars and Stripes
Letter From My Congressman
There’s a movement in Healthcare here in the US. Congress has tried to kill one system and replace it with another. The ACA (Obamacare) used an income tax on the Top 2% incomes to pay for a significant chunk. The ACHA (Trumpcare) cuts that tax and uses $880 billion taken from Medicare expanded coverage. The biggest issue with the new system is there is no way to control what you may be charged based on age and history. If you believe your health is all lifestyle and rich people need an average of $24,000,000 in tax cuts more than people who worked their whole life to afford retirement than this might make sense. The young people living on $30,000 a year actually weren’t paying more after ACA. Which is a claim made that healthy people subsidized unhealthy people (it works this way for all insurance Life, Auto, Homeowners….) Insurance is a risk based industry. A hurricane hits Florida, your home owners insurance goes up in Maine, Kansas, Montana… For profit companies will make money. Healthcare is being called a privilege. And without a 3% growth in domestic Gross National Product, Congress can’t balance this tax cut. We are looking at 1.9% in a very positive year.

Dear Mr. Reynolds,
Thank you for contacting me regarding the American Health Care Act (AHCA). I appreciate your thoughts on this issue and welcome the opportunity to respond.
Before coming to Washington to be your member of Congress, I owned and operated a dental practice in Northern Arizona for more than 25 years. Serving the community as a health care provider, both by practicing dentistry as well as engaging in charitable and non-profit activities with other Arizona doctors and physicians, I know the best health care not only focuses on preventative services and wellness but also empowers the doctor-patient relationship by getting government and insurance regulation out of the way.
America needs health care reform to lower costs, increase access, and enhance patient choice. As your Congressman, I am committed to reform that is both patient-centered and market-based. That is why I strongly oppose the burdensome and costly regulations imposed by the Affordable Care Act (ACA), commonly known as Obamacare. Former President Obama’s colossal overhaul of the American health care system delivered 20,000 pages of regulations which have restricted choice, driven up insurance premiums and put bureaucrats between you and your doctor. The mandates and regulations included in this law have driven insurance companies out of the market and put millions of Americans at risk of losing their private, individual health insurance. Public opposition to Obamacare helped deliver victories to Republicans across the country with a mandate to repeal the law and replace it with common-sense policies that lower costs and improve access to care for average Americans.
On May 4th, 2017, the House of Representatives passed the American Health Care Act (AHCA) – a measure to begin the process of repealing and replacing Obamacare – with my support. I am going to tell Arizonans the truth about the updated version of the American Health Care Act: This bill is not a full repeal and replace of Obamacare. However, after working alongside my colleagues in the House Freedom Caucus, we have been able to secure Conservative changes to the bill that will immediately eliminate Obamacare taxes, lower health care premiums and offer more choices for Arizonans. Additionally, my support for AHCA was contingent upon not giving Members of Congress special treatment. Elected leaders must be subject to the same rules governing all Americans, and this important measure explicitly applies to this bill.
Conservatives worked tirelessly in the weeks preceding the House vote to make the AHCA better for the American people. In particular, the Freedom Caucus – following up on our earlier offer of a full repeal and replace plan – immediately got to work to mitigate problems within the original bill text. The new plan has updated language to immediately roll back stifling requirements while also protecting individuals with preexisting conditions. While this revised version still does not fully repeal Obamacare, my conservative colleagues and I support it as part of our promise to the American people to lower healthcare costs and make a down-payment on a full repeal. Millions of Americans are drowning right now under the tidal wave of Obamacare regulations and mandates that have destroyed our entire healthcare system. The American Health Care Act is a life raft to those suffering and represents real movement toward a true market-based solution.
One important policy change in this bill is the increase in state authority to drive down costs and tailor specific plans to the unique needs of their citizens. The MacArthur amendment will grant individual states the ability to effectively repeal cost-driving aspects of Obamacare not already addressed by the AHCA. Especially in the interim period before Obamacare can be fully repealed, this increased authority will empower states to free individuals, families and businesses from the most burdensome Obamacare regulations that drive up the cost of their premiums. The healthcare needs of Arizonans are often different from those of Alaskans, Californians or New Yorkers. This amendment respects those differences and allows individual state governments, not a disconnected federal bureaucracy, to make the critical decisions that impact healthcare.
It is important to set the record straight on two myths being perpetuated by special interest groups about the AHCA, specifically the updated age rating – the so-called “age tax” – and how patients with preexisting conditions receive insurance coverage. First, the age rating. The American Health Care Act restores market balance to the premiums charged for each age group. It stops the generational theft that Obamacare imposed upon the nation‘s young adults in an effort to disguise the price increases wreaking havoc on older Americans‘ premiums. Instead of utilizing reforms that would actually lower the price of health care, Obamacare tried to hide the massive costs of regulation by requiring young, healthy adults to subsidize the health care costs of older Americans at a rate well above what a well-functioning market would prescribe. Kicking the can down the road and shifting costs onto our children and grandchildren is not only unfair, it is wrong. The AHCA brings fairness back to the age pricing structure for premiums and lowers costs for all ages by instituting reforms that fundamentally lower costs of care, not mask them with funny money gimmicks. In fact, according to the Foundation for Government Accountability, seniors over 60 could see up to 45 percent lower premiums under the AHCA while young adults and other age groups would see savings of up to 50 percent.
The AHCA maintains the federal standard that no individual may be denied insurance coverage due to a preexisting condition. Period. Despite fear mongering from the Democrats and special interest groups hell-bent on maintaining a failing system, the AHCA maintains protections for our sickest and most vulnerable patients – and it does so in a more effective, cost efficient manner than Obamacare. Similar to the cost-shifting hijinks of the age rating,Obamacare did nothing to lower the cost of care for the very sick; it just attempted to cover up that cost by charging everyone more. In Obamacare, everyone was priced as if they were sick. In the AHCA, everyone is priced as if they are healthy and those with known high risks are subsidized behind the scenes by “invisible” high risk pools. This is a much smarter, cost efficient way to control costs for those with expensive medical needs and prevent premiums for healthier patients from spiraling out of control. According to a study by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Department, 50% of the nation’s health care costs come from just 5% of the population. The AHCA will provide these patients with a variety of affordable health insurance options and safety nets while keeping premiums low for the general population. These are the facts, without the emotional hysteria the Left is whipping up to cloud the policy debate.
Combined with my bipartisan legislation, the Competitive Health Insurance Reform Act, which passed the House by a vote of 416-7, the AHCA takes the necessary first step to rebuilding America’s healthcare market. While I still support full repeal and replacement of Obamacare, the revised AHCA finally opens the door to free-market solutions that empowers states and individuals to have more control over health care decisions. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues in Congress as well as President Trump to deliver the health care reform we were sent to Washington to deliver.
