Red mud that’s very neat. I was wondering what particular rock this sediment came from. But I guess around your area most of the rocks are red so it makes sense about mud. Great picture!

Most of it is pink granite. There are a lot of ores mixed in. Iron, copper & silver are common. But red is iron, the only one they didn’t mine for in the area.

Ah I see. Pink granite sounds like it would make an interesting countertop as long as the color wasn’t too deep. Then again, certain people really like red as a color!

It would be nice soft color. There are several white specks with tiny crystals. The granite is lighter than the water color

Its a lovely little creek but all the feed mud from last months deadly flood left patches of log jams and small pools that trickle in this reddish color. Beautiful in contrast to the rocks.

Oh yes, beautiful! Red mud flowing through a little stream. There is so much beauty in nature if only we would open our eyes!
