Midnight Mirror

Spirit of the thoughts

A chance at old haunts

Wraiths wander in remembories

Spectres loosen chains and wail

Cacophony of the dead

Whispers of life extinguished

No longer dormant

Rising on the winds

Embracing wings of the vulture

Catching thermals straight from hell

Fumes of brimstone scented in singed hope

Burnt offerings

Heaved on the ethereal alter

Sacrifices of dust and bone

Flesh having been previously spent

Cost of doing business with the devil

Had I only recognized my own reflection

In the witches cauldron, in the midnight mirror

My intact form could then suffer on

  1. I love the way you and Lorraine and fleshing out these pieces – as I’ve told her on her site, there is this incredible intimacy in these pieces …. and how it all comes to pass – sheer magic!

Well done and highly creative you two 🙂

Can’t wait to see more of these come up 🙂

    1. They is an erie chemistry between us. Almost like we have known each other in the past (She maybe a cyber stalker, secretly I have always wanted one 😉) I’m amazed that we can play the others words as our own without huge effort. The poems are really spontaneous and that is where the magic is. Thank you for the kind words

      1. Whatever the connection – word chemistry you have going on – for whatever reasons, it’s really special – totally unique – almost “ghostly” – your words have that haunting and timeless quality … which makes the collaboration so different from other similar projects or works I’ve come across.

As for cyber stalker? LOL – as long as it’s on the good end of the spectrum, then who wouldn’t want one? 😉
