If It Was Another Place and Time

I feel you pulse race.  It’s not from lack of effort.  But the rush is shared.  The light touch gives way to indescret propose. It the smile buried deeply in both of us. The easy of movement belies the energy synergized between.  Hells fury and the lightning bolt pale in soft blue white light trying to keep the beat.  The rhythm can’t be contained.  The wrap is tight and suffocating.  It grows inside and overflows the dam of restraint.

The rise and fall cries to the moon to stay still.  Glue the hands of the clock still.  Don’t let the moment pass.  If it does we fade to shadows. Fragments of nighttime left scattered upon a sidewalk.  Trampled into the dust that falls through the hourglass.  Just another change to remember what should have been.  At least for a little longer…..
