Suzy looked at Cory. “You know Grammy’s piano has a clown in it! That’s why it plays itself! It crawls out at night..”
“Noooo! There aren’t no clowns in it! I hate clowns!” Cory stomps his foot and slowly bands away from the piano. “It’s in the garage. Noone is in there!”
“It’s comes out at night. Why do you think Grammy has nightlights? So the clown can walk around without tripping on her stuff. He’s been here for years. You’re just to young to know.”
I’m asking Grammy. You’re lying!! Liar! Liar! Pants on fire!” Cory runs out of the room.
Suzy laughs hysterically.
From behind her legs emerge from the keyboard. Stealthy they miss the keys.
I guess Suzy never expected that tale she was told, and told herself actually to be true. Poor Suzy, and a good laugh for us.

Fun stuff! I’d like to meet that clown myself. I hate that Stephen King made them scary, although, not all children like clowns. But still, I like clowns. I like the story, too! 😉

Thank you for the kind words. Pennywise wasn’t the first evil clown. But there are several people creeped out by them. Our evolution tells us to read face ail and body language. Clowns parade around with the painted smile on, if their nose is a ball or hair is a crazy wig, we can’t get a good read on these people. Actually, I have two people I know who do children’s parties as clowns. They surely aren’t the same person I talk to, if they are entertaining. 😀

Yeah, it’s all a matter of taste and the way we all see things, you know? I remember as a kid I was afraid of the NBC peacock. Really.

It was the lyrics of the Beatles “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer ” that bothered me.

Clowns are low hanging fruit in the cheap scare tales. The sibling thing seemed like fun angle. 🙄 thanks my dear

She will get the scare of a lifetime. But nothing gruesome, at least that I know of. 😉

LOL’s Sounds just like something a sibling would do to another sibling. Suzy may not think it is so hysterical though when she sees what’s behind her legs.

Nightlight so the clown doesn’t trip over? Creepy! I don’t care much for clowns!

Well Grammy is a little strange apparently. Most people hate clowns. There is an innate fear of things that hide their faces. We need body language to communicate properly. A made up face and fake noses, hair and ears makes us natural nervous.
