Quote Challenge – Day One

So I’m minding my own business.  Doing nothing and boom!  This happens.  Some lovely woman named Angela says “Tag, you’re it!”  (Tag: gsme played by children when they could freely run outside.  Consider Dark Age game due to lack of internet) And nominates myself for a quote challenge for three days.  Thanks to her. 🙄 You can visit her at https://iammyownisland.wordpress.com/2016/05/25/quote-challenge/
Rules stolen from another blog.
Rules for the challenge:

Post one of your favourite quotes(different quote on each day) on three consecutive days. The quote can be from your favourite book, author, or your own.
Nominate three bloggers to challenge them.
Thank the blogger, who nominated you.

Neither current events nor history show that the majority rule, or ever did rule.
Jefferson Davis

There will never be a time when this is not true.  Today, we have media to control the message by the second.   Back then it was the people who could read controlled the message.

The lens of history doesn’t do President Jefferson Davis any favors.  His most important role was to modernize the US Army following the Mexican American War.  He did such a good job it cost him everything twenty years later.   He was a one term Senator that was a conciliatory candidate for the President of the Confederate States of America .  However, what he tells you in 1861 is true today! Thomas Paine was a hero of his and possibly got the idea from Common Sense in 1774.

Now, my choices for nominees.  This is optional but can be fun project

  1. Amazing! This blog looks just like my old one!
It’s on a entirely different topic but it has pretty much the same
page layout and design. Superb choice of colors!
