“The Last In Line”
We’re a ship without a storm
the cold without the warm
light inside the darkness that it needs yeah
We’re a laugh without a tear
the hope without the fear
we are coming home.
I’m starting the day with the question of does an old candle cast a new or old shadow?
Intriguing question. Seriously. This could take more than a few cups of coffee and several sleepless nights.

Really intriguing though. I’ll use it in a story at some point. The allure of how to play it out. There are my sleepless nights.😉

I believe that a candle’s shadow is an old shadow. To me, a shadow is an extension of the object it is shadowing. 🙂

That was my starting point. An old candle should hold fast to its place in time. But it’s new flame….must alter something about it. Like a memory warps with the passing of time.

Is it a new flame or are we reigniting an old flame? LOL

We’re aren’t attempting burning old bridges. I mean reigniting an old flame. I’m revising old stories. Maybe not a good idea sometimes. But the thought of an old candle and old shadows seems like a story line. I figured I would throw out the thought and see where I end up.

Sure, I understand. Revising old stories. I’m just kidding about the old flame.

I figured that. I think i did burn through a bridge or two. So the old flame might hit me with the candle.
