Real old school sense of direction meant reading a map. No , not the gas station road map. Not the atlas where every state gets its own page. But the world on vellum. Feast your eyes people.

Good article. I always messed up my maps when in school. In life, by the time I needed maps GPS was the way better solution everywhere. Now I need my GPS, and I’m good to go. Although, it had disappointed me several times but I got home safe one way or another.

I’m one of those weird people who uses maps. When traveling I pick up on unique places that the GPS couldn’t find anyway. Of course, being the one who drives I have to remember the whole route. Sometimes the map getting a good workout
